Our LA LIEFF Valkerie blend is produced from ALAMO Creek Ranch's best Grenache (70%) and Syrah (30%), grown on rocky, volcanic soils located on the southern most edge of San Luis Obispo County. Native yeast and whole-berry fermentation combine to capture the beauty of Grenache and the fighting spirit of Syrah creating a delicious, savory and bold blend to enjoy everyday.

Tasting Notes
The beautiful fruit flavors of Grenache and the fighting spirit of savory Syrah creates a delicious wine to enjoy every day. With deep and dark aromas of blackberry, black cherry, plum and cola create an enticing nose. Bold flavors of plum, boysenberry, blackberry, with a stout core expressing dark chocolate, leather, meat, and licorice. The finish is firm with long lasting tannins.

Grown in San Luis Obispo County along California’s Central Coast, our grapes continue to create our world class wines. Proximity to the ocean, orientation of the numerous canyons, and varying elevations produce diverse microclimates, allowing production of both cool and warm weather loving wine-grape varieties.

Winemaker Notes
The grapes for this savory and bold blend were hand harvested, hand sorted, and destemmed at the winery. After a 48-hour cold soak, whole berries were fermented using native yeast for two weeks. Caps were punched down by hand twice a day. After a delicate pressing, the wine was aged in neutral French barrels for 8 months to preserve the bold and savory flavors.
